VISUAL DESIGN
As VP of Visual Design at RSM Technologies,
my responsibilities evolved from motion designer to designing junctions to designing the dashboard interface for the traffic simulation software known as SIMON.

Below is a breakdown of my work process.

01 THE OLD INTERFACE
The previous interface was used primarily by engineers to view data. This was difficult to navigate and not client focused, it also needed to accommodate many features and be scalable for future data input.

02 SKETCHES AND PROTOYPING
Each area was sketched out and then made in Illustrator, once all the elements were agreed.

03 ITERATION AND FEEBACK
Once briefed by the engineers and simulation programmers, I started to sketch out their needs and iterate ideas based on feedback.

04 MULTIPLE SCREENS
Once the look had been agreed, I created concepts for different dashboards depending on what tool was needed.
Across all of these was a consistent logic where the data and inputs would be placed.
